I was right about a healthy McCown being better than a hurt Brees

I doubt I'll see any apologies but just thought I'd point it out after how much unfair abuse I took.

He threw so many touchdown passes and finished so many drives so strong. He might be the greatest QB in NFL history.

Didn't realize that Brees played too
I think we completed 1 pass over 20 yards yesterday. The game plan was damn good, so I guess that means you were wrong about Payton
You've made some ridiculous claims, like saying Brees was below average last year. Then you suck your own dick about 1 claim in 5+ years of bs

You can always take more abuse. Judging from your bludgeoned outward appearance, with multiple layers of bruising and permanent skull damage, it appears you're used to it.

At least McCown could throw the ball more than 20 yards yesterday which is a lot more than a hurt Drew Brees could do.

My point is that we should run a similar system with brees when he comes back. Get rid of the ball quickly to limit the offensive line exposure
And the other point is that going deep was completely ineffective. Difference is that Brees, when healthy, can make them pay on those throws.

It honestly seemed like Payton gave a crap about the game plan this week.

I agree. Payton should spend time developing a gameplan and not lazily rely on Brees's skill. Something he hasn't done since he got suspended.

I kind of want to see what Payton does without Brees. We already saw what Brees can do without Payton, so far it seems to be better than the latter.

I agree. His plan seemed to be more of a nibble nibble game plan, and hit them with short 5-7 yard passes and let the receivers try and gain some yards after the catch. The O-line did a good job yesterday, but even a few times McCown did buy himself some time with some good scrambling to find some open targets for some decent gains.

I disagree with you on this. I don't think it matters if it was a healthy Brees or McCown. We don't have the receiving corp for this. Case in point, the interception in the endzone. Wouldn't have mattered if Drew Brees threw the ball, still would have been picked off. We don't have a decent deep threat receiver.

Uh, Cooks had the defender beat. The ball was slightly underthrown and the defender made an outstanding play.
If that ball is 2 feet deeper, it is an easy touchdown. The throw allowed the defender totlo make a play on it
But I do think the stills trade was horrible for that overall reason

Not on here enough to know who said what and when, but I totally agree with the statement.
