You do realize everyone knows this is a troll after reading this. I’m surprised you have this many responses.

As long as the young guys on the O-Line continue to improve and remain intact, and a few key veteran leaders on defense remain (Jordan & Davis), I think Payton will continue to field a competitive team. Depth took a big hit so far but draft and later waves of FA can fill most holes. Bucs look to be the NFC favorites at this point but I see no reason why Saints fans can’t expect a wild card hunt this year

In reality, the Saints only “need” to hit on a few picks. And some of this may be addressed in free agency. CB/LB.

With successes at these two positions, the Saints are a playoff team.

It’s no doubt the Saints will sign a Vet. at corner, linebacker, and dt before the draft. They might even get a wideout. They almost always go into the draft trying not to have a glaring hole at a position.
They might not find a Malcom Brown, Jack Rabbit, or Kwon, but experienced Vet. Then we restock the the team with future stars with reasonable contracts. This team will remain in the hunt for the foreseeable future as long as Sean and Mickey are at the helm.

I hate to say it because Brees has done a lot for the city and did win it all for us. But I think our Super Bowl runs the last 3 years have been hampered by his limited abilities. Our best chance b4 he started to slide was the no call, that really sucked.

We are now in the process of building another championship team with younger players. We have kept almost our entire offense intact except Sanders, Eason, and the fumbler.
We have a chance to have a much better offense that’s much more explosive, we just need to get a few defensive starters.

Agree on adding a CB, LB, & DT in free agency. At least, that's what I hope we do.

Personally, I think we go into the draft with our current WR's. Jmo, but I don't think we add a WR via F.A.

The only WR still available that I wouldn't mind adding is Dede Westbrook. I wouldn't complain if we got him for a good price.

Yep. Still need a starting CB (#2) & a starting LB (#2 that can cover).

The rest of the defensive additions would be for depth. Maybe a starting run stopping DT if he beats out Shy Tuttle.

The only real worry I have at the moment is Marshon that could be a big deal. We cannot lose him now. Patrick really played good when he was healthy I thought he was one of our better cover guys. Just needs to stay healthy.
I also think Winston has a huge season. There is no reason to think this guy does not have elite QB stills. With Sean and the excellent core offensive players around him he will feast.

Some of the things he said about his wife, having a baby, and learning from Drew resonated with me. Not the Drew part but the family part. I remember when I was in his shoes and my whole life turned on a dime.
He could shock some people this year but not me I think he will kill it.

That’s what I figured. He will either plea it down to a misdemeanor or snitch to who he got it from to get the charges dropped and save his millions in future dollars.
