I have to be honest, normally I hate defensive football. Usually last nights game would have bored the shite out of me. I know, "blah blah blah offense," but I took so much satisfaction watching the Saints defense be as dominate as they were. I'm 28 years old, so that's something I've never really seen from a Saints defense, atleast at that level. Never at any point last night, even after the fumble touchback, was I worried that the Panthers offense would drive down and score. Hopefully that continues.

I was uncomfortable watching it because I was waiting for the defense to break and the Panthers take a big play to the house. To my surprise, the defense was off the charts good from start to finish. We aren't used to that, but it was a treat.

The last 5 weeks has been reminiscent of the late 80s/early 90s. This defense, once it develops a little bit more of a nasty streak, will completely change your mind with regards to defensive oriented teams. Demario Davis has that nastiness and Anzalone and Onyamomma are starting to show it.

Even players I've been unsure about have been showing out.
Apple, Von Bell, and Robinson all played great.

Couldn’t disagree more. Track meets are essentially ruining football to me. It’s awesome seeing our defense being one of the most skilled in the league.

You would have loved the Dome Patrol days, that was some dominant shite but the offense was like watching paint dry.

As fans, it's going to take some adjustment before we come to terms with a good team defensively. I used to dread being up a field goal at the end of the game and the other team has the ball. Now, I'm starting to feel like we can shut them down in that situation.

Which one? The one on IR or the one on special teams?

The one on ST.

But also, Williams played well.

Didn't really notice him. Hardee had his typical flash play per game on punt coverage.

Well, it takes time to develop football instincts like mine.
I wouldn't beat yourself up over it.
