After giving us the game winning fumble he got cut from the team. They said we sign a guy name McCauley, is he any good? From the fox sport report he been cut from 4 different team this season already. I still think Chris could have stayed with us to the end but I guess it is what it is.

Maybe his knee's not quite 100% and these last couple of weeks have proved it. He may have realized the situation just as much as the coaches...

I think that if he really wants to stay in the NFL - he gets himself back in football shape before mini-camps start up... and I wouldn't be surprised if we see him again.

McCauley is garbage. They just bringin him as a practice dummy. He'll get cut to make room for LB depth. You had to know McCalister was getting cut because of the numbers game. He's the odd man out with the db's getting healthy. They werent keeping 6 corners when you can use Usama as a emergency corner.

If Hargrove tells you "You're a f*ckup" - you're a f*ckup.

ETA:

This is just something I could imagine happening - not to be treated as rumor.

It's simply a numbers game...He knew going in that he didn't have a spot for the rest of the season if Porter and Greer came back from their injuries. You can only have 53 active players on your gameday roster. Don't be surprised if McKenzie's is gone at some point too.

I thought he played pretty damn strong for coming off the streets into a new defense. He wasn't Porter or Greer but he did exactly what the coaches wanted and that's have a warm body out there with experience until the starters return. He did cause the fumble with a solid hit against Mike Sellers late in the game.

McCauley is a decent corner, he was with Minnesota for his first two years. I believe he was their nickle corner

I said on here after the New England game that McAlister did not have his wheels back. It was obvious.

McAlister got more than fair compensation for his time as a Saint even if he only got league minimum.

He was slow and had no pop in his cuts. He's done.

no, that's why we cut Eckel. McCauley can play ST's which is something McAlister couldn't.

Nope. You can have 53 players on your total roster. 45 are active on gameday. 46 if you have a 3rd string QB.
