This is IF we make the Cooks trade

If we somehow landed those two LBs, our defense would have a huge attitude adjustment and it would be an instant improvement in the front seven

Side note: Anyone thinking TJ won't be a stud in the NFL needs to sit down

not that he's a popular choice around here but what about Zach Cunningham?

at #11 yeah, its a tough sell I guess.

but if we acquired #32 or the Titans pick in the mid teens why not?

Guy flourished in Derek Mason's defense who runs perhaps the most complex scheme other than Saban. Cunningham is a helluva of an instinctive player.

If we got the 18th then I could get down with

Barnett/Thomas at 11
Cunningham at 18

Then Budda Baker in 2nd round

I don't understand the obsession with Foster. Sure he is talented but he has a jacked shoulder and concussion issues that may very well be causing or at least contributing to him acting irrationally.

After all of the shite people talk about the FO and they want us to spend a high first round pick on a player that used up more than a sixty year old hooker. No thanks.

What if the Pats trade Jimmy G to the browns for pick 12. Then we trade Cooks for 12.

If TJ Watts' last name was Anderson, he'd be a 4th round pick. His tape is so unimpressive.

Really? That's interesting, so you watch the same game film scouts and coaches do and know exactly what to look for in regards to how his skills translating to the next level? Because watching a few YouTube videos and actual game tape are two completely different things, just saying.

If it were me I would take the chance and take Foster and Tim Williams. Huge boom or bust potential.

foster certainly doesn't have the ceiling of a guy like garrett, but he's the type of intensity/aggression player who rarely busts, so his floor is a lot higher than a guy like garret. he gets a lot of offside calls, but that's not a terrible thing to me. it's kind of like young players in the NBA who have high turnover rates. that's often a sign that they will develop into a top player

I don't watch "highlight videos" when breaking down a prospect. I use draftbreakdown.com Nothing about him says 1st or 2nd round to me. This is just my opinion. Don't get so butt hit over it my man

Hard to compare the two but it's not often that middle linebackers are mocked in the top 10. It's like asking if Von Miller or Luke Kuechly is a better player. They're both upper echelon at their positions, which most scouts feel like Garrett and Foster have the potential of being in a few years

I really think he goes to Cincy at 9 unless someone just falls into their lap. I think Barnett will be there at 12 and the saint can address MLB in the second if they want to go that route. I think one of Davis, McMillan, Cunningham will still be on the board. Then again there's going to be a good corner or two left on the board at that point too, acquiring another first round pick would be clutch

Seeing the saints take Foster and Tim Williams would make for a fun draft day around here though

there is one LSU guy i'd love to see fall to 11 and would be mad if we passed: jamal adams

the same may apply to tre white in round 2

i do believe that beckwith would be an absolute steal if he somehow fell to round 4

and this isn't b/c of LSU allegiance, i jsut think the value for each would be unreal

I think white is the least likely. Adams wouldn't totally shock me with the top end talent in this draft. All it's going to take is everyone in front valuing another position over safety or having Hooker higher on the board if one wants a safety. Still not likely he falls to 12, but more likely than White going middle of the second. I think he'll actually go in the first after his combine.

Agree about beckwith, he sort of reminds me of a poor mans Demeco Ryans. Not going to be a flashy guy but will be a solid player for a long time
