How about this twist? RB Kareem Hunt was called by Indy before he even stepped foot on the field to work out for the Saints and was offered more money, per source. He was advised to leave and head to Indy with the Colts for a visit. twitter.com/adamschefter/s…

we don't need you posting 10 threads about the same topic. Just reply where I already posted this information

Well, glad we didn’t get into a bidding war for him

Leverage against Taylor. Nice move Irsay. I see you.

Better place for Hunt, probably. I just don’t think there’s a role for him here after Week 3.

I'm more pissed that we didn't get Barr. He actually filled a big need for us.

Me too. What’s the word on what happened there. Surely nobody outbid us for him. We need him.

Mike Garafolo tweeted this, & it's all I've seen on Barr so far...

"Free agent LB Anthony Barr had a good visit with the #Saints but is departing without a deal, source says. New Orleans remains in play for him, but he has interest from other teams and could make more visits in the near future."

Agreed. He doesn't do anything Kamara can't do and Kamara does it better. Further, we signed Williams to a deal to take some of the load off Kamara and drafted Miller. It just didn't look great for us or him short or long term, IMO.

If Taylor really pulls a Lev Bell and sits out the year and if Hunt shows out in Indy, then Hunt can capitalize on the market next year with a longer-term deal.

I mean outside of Williams running behind Detroit’s monster line for a bunch of TDs last year, Hunt has been a better player and I like his receiving. Kinda wish we would’ve gone after him earlier instead.

We should’ve signed Khunt years ago when the Chieves cut his arse.

Are you admitting to be a troll? You say it like it's a good thing.

He probably won’t be the receiver Hunt is in his rookie season, but I’d bet almost anything that Miller has a better season this year than Hunt running the ball. I do like what Hunt could give us catching the ball out of the backfield while AK is out, but after that, I’d rather hand the ball off to AK, Miller, Williams, and Taysom over Hunt.

Even if you disagree, we’ve invested too much into all 4 of those for them to not easily make the 53. RB 4 only has a spot after Week 3 if he can play special teams. I bet Hunt going to Indy was more about there being a spot on the 53 for him all year than actual $$. If we were honest with him, we’d have told him his roster spot was not guaranteed after AK gets back, barring injury.

I’m pretty sure sportsnola and victory have some sort of pact to see who can be the worst.
