How much of the 2021 draft are you OK with trading for Simmons/Tua

just want people on record now

trading our 1st next year is too much, so anything on top of that is too much for me.

I wouldn't trade any of it for Tua.

Yes we are very aware of your opinion on trading future 1sts.

Nothing for Tua. I don’t want him if he’s there at 24

I’m going to give me weird, illogical thoughts on this.

Simmons is one of my favorite players in this draft. I think he has a chance to be elite. But I would not be in love with trading a future 1st. I’d live with it and be excited to have him. But for that position with Drew in his last year, I don’t love it.

Tua is not one of my favorite players in this draft. I have serious concerns over him translating to the NFL as well as his health. But to me, if you’re going to give up a future 1st, it has to be for a QB given our situation. I’d be able to justify it much more.

Part of the reason is I think we need that first to try and get a QB next year. So if we take him now the future first isn’t as necessary.

So while I love one player, I think we can justify it more with the player I don’t love as much.

I’d give up a future first for Simmons

That’s about it

I'd trade a first for Simmons. When I look at the roster, that linebacker spot is the only one I see someone coming in and making an impact this year and he fits the needs we have like a glove.

A lot for Tua none for Simmons. If you trade the future for Simmons you don’t have a QB in the future. Give Tua the weapons brees has and we won’t miss a beat in a year.

To get both? I'm ok with the 2021 1st.

None for either. My belief is that either Washington (not very likely) or Detroit (most likely) will trade down a few spots. If either of those things happen, I'm very confident that we will get either Queen, Jefferson, or Murray at #24.

At worst, I see us getting Terrell or Reagor at #24.

I wouldn't even want to take Tua if he slides to 24. I think he'll be a good QB, but I have no faith in his ability to stay healthy.

You don't think that either Queen or Murray would make an immediate impact this year --- presumably at the Will spot?

that's kind of why i included him. i think he may be the target and simmons is a smoke screen

yeah that's kind of the argument

Queen/Murray/Brooks + 3rd this year + 1st/3rd next (or something) v. Simmons
