More likely that we lose out with Haener at the helm. Fingers crossed for that anyway.

Not much, we down graded from Mickey reaching for a kicker to reaching for a punter

Not enough to not waste a future 1st to move up 3 spots and draft an injury plagued DE from Sam Houston east Tech.

Don't worry, they'll win out and completely frick our draft position.

Tanking is a fan fantasy.

The players and coaching staff have no desire to “tank” for a future they won’t be a part of.

No one is asking for the players and coaches to tank. Obviously that wouldn't be in their best personal interest.

However, what is best interest of the team is to have a higher draft pick in each round of the draft. Does it matter if this team finishes 2nd or 3rd in the division and out of the playoffs?

It would also be in the best interest of the team long term to burn it down and start over.

Doesn't matter where we pick, it'll be like this again:

I fear a losing culture a lot more than I fear losing some 21 year old who has never taken an NFL snap.

Lol, that’s the conundrum, isn’t it?

The “smart” move is to lose the rest of the games and secure better draft position. The problem is, a better draft spot doesn’t guarantee success historically. On the bright side, since 2020, the Saints have hit on 4 out of 6 picks in the 1st round (or 3 out of 6, depending on how you view Olave). It’s a classic catch-22 for a franchise that lately seems to be snakebitten.

The “smart” play logically is to lose the rest and gain better draft position. Issue there is better position historically does not guarantee a hit. The bright side, going back to 2020 the Saints are 4 for 6 on hitting that pick. (Could argue 3 for 6 depending on how you view Olave). It’s a classic catch-22 for a snake bitten franchise.

TigerSaurus, you humiliate someone every time you speak, you're just not smart enough to realize who it is.

Looks like it was at least two draft spots.
