You're probably right. I was just throwing it out there. We should get some better answers after practice when Payton talks to the media.

He's only gonna say one of two things: "We've decided to go in another direction."

or: "We're still in the decision-making process," which means Brooks is still a possibility.

probably not until after the Bengals game...every man on the roster is needed in the game on friday and the coaches would probably like to evaluate all the available players within a game before signing someone b/c signing someone = making a cut.


and if brooks comes in, they'd have to cut someone and he wouldn't even start practicing until monday (most likely) and would be inactive for the game on friday...why not wait and let everyone else participate in the game on friday and then make the cut afterward?
