He was a beast through 3 quarters. Hope he can sustain that play to finish the year

Defense was just awesome yesterday. Must’ve really decided collectively to get payback for that bitchslapping a couple weeks ago.

They made the plays when it counted, but Atlanta moved the ball on them all game, and you can't have that. Thank god they made the TO's and sacks when it counted, but they were inconsistent is what I would say. They have been inconsistent now for weeks.

I love effort guys like him and Craig Robertson. I don't understand why guys like that don't get more playing time. Do they just take too many chances on making plays and end up missing assignments?

What's the deal?

You mean the refs moved the ball

Alonso is seeing his snaps increase each week. I think that was more just learning the defense early on. Robertson I’m surprised about because it felt like he always played well. The reality is the saints are pretty deep at linebacker.

Yeah with penalty yards

If the offense could capitalize off of the turnovers the defense got them that game is a blowout

I totally agree with you on Robertson. Every time that dude plays, he everywhere! For the life of me I don't understand what the staff DOESN'T see in him! We finally have a group of LB'ers that can deliver a blow and run sideline to sideline. I think DD has been the defensive MVP by a long shot, this year.

Could be wrong, but I thought they said he was getting fluids. Not an injury

i love robertson but i don't think he holds up all that well in the run game down after down.
he's a fantastic nickel linebacker though and a hype man.

Thigh injury for Alonso. They didn't say how bad but said he was questionable to return (he didn't).

Probably a nice bruise if I had to guess. Ice it up over the long break and get back out there next Sunday.

Also was Klein inactive? Alonso was getting a ton of snaps and then when he went down Craig was getting a ton

He's always been great at run stops and making plays behind the LoS. His weakness is coverage

He's WAY better in coverage than Klein. And the drop off in run defense is slight.

Which is why it confuses me Allen always chooses to go back to Klein.

Klein played. He's the one that was supposed to drop into coverage on Atlanta s first td to the TE

Ah. Yeah he fricked up bad twice last week or the week before and Alonso started getting more snaps.

I guess after fricking that up against Atl Payton had to tell Allen to bench his boy.

Coaches watch them everyday, watch game film, and pay attention at practice. You watch them 1 day a week on a tv or the dome if you go.

Does that help?
