This one has throwback all over it while new alternate looks like someone just threw something and saw what stuck.

The second one is terrible. Really terrible.

The first one would be ok, just ok, if the stripes were removed and a black face mask was put on it.


But

We are a gold helmet team. Period.

Most teams are going black with alternates, I think going white to wear with the all white unis would have been a better play.

That first helmet is FIRE...but i mean i dont mind the one we got now tho.

The problem lies in that the former chief brand/marketing director was absolutely terrible at her job. Both the Saints and Pels use a third party design firm instead of Nike designers. Designs were continually late to Nike and ended up being greenlit without any real feedback.

The Saints do need some subtle upgrades to the uniforms, but not a complete overhaul. I’d like to see the gold return to a true gold instead of Manila folder. This would allow for team to use a throwback helmet without using an alternate shell. Then add a throwback uniform set and upgrade the mono color look.
