For those saying "run the ball!!"

And the morons saying this have no clue. You were down to 1 rb who was just injured and you have a future HOF QB on your roster. You put the ball in his hands every time. He fricking blew it

Yup. All on Brees. Nothing about him is clutch anymore. Call him what you want but he's holding passes longer not because WRs are struggling to get open, it's because he has a confidence problem. Watch how he throws balls. He pushes the ball out. Something is wrong with his arm. Some passes just look like absolute ducks and no, I don't mean the ones where he's throwing them in the dirt on purpose. His arm strength seems to have really fallen off in just a year. I'm wondering if he has an injury they're hiding. Wouldn't be first time he played all season with an injury. Father time has officially caught up with Checkdown Brees. Time to send him packing and jump into the Cousins sweepstakes. The magic surgery done on that arm 10+ years ago is over.

Where was this the previous 10 games?

It’s really mind blowing, drew plays timid as shite that entire game but chooses right there to lay it on the line? Stupid fricking decision

I don’t even see how what he saw there to justify the throw

Goal line?

That first down call was a great call, Jones just made a good play and it was completed, they had to call a time out. Throwing on 2md down from the 11 was not stupid, Brees just screwed up. I have been one of payton's biggest critics over the years but Drew cost us the game.

Sad part is he had good protection, rushed that throw and ignored he fact he had Ingram releasing through the line wide freaking open when he made that pass.

As much as people want to hate on Payton, this loss is entirely on Brees and that throw. It was utterly pathetic, and is exactly why people saying pay him for 3 more years at HOf QB market value are nuts.

So it's ok that Ingram had 3 carries the entire 2nd half? That's fricking terrible

he's made that throw plenty of times so I can see the sense of security letting the ball go.

However this isnt Marques Colston or Graham going for that ball. Josh Hill did nothing to get position on the defender knowing the ball was going to come in like that. That is Payton and Brees go-to red zone play.

this confidence they have in Josh Hill is weird. Member a few years ago running an end around to him?

Been saying it all year so you can piss off. It's not a coincidence this team started winning more games when they took the load off Brees shoulders to win games. The excuse before this season was he never has good defenses. Now that he has a decent one he's shitting the bed in clutch time again and excuses still being made. Clutch left Brees years ago.

He SHOULD'VE lost the Washington game with a bad throw that would've resulted in an INT to lose that game. Easy to forget that play when they played a team that probably had people off the street playing in the game.

No, but again, ball in the red zone, plenty of time to win, Brees just derped. Again could you see Rodgers or Brady doing that shite?

Yeah, the fact that he was the target really pisses me off. Really hope we target a te in the early rounds next year. Hill just flat out sucks.

It was an awful throw but Payton deserves blame, he was bad tonight

They really do have some awful TEs/WRs on this team but I think that's just more of a good reason to show his arm velocity has hit a wall. A younger Brees made all his WRs better. Now he needs good WRs because that velocity isn't there anymore. He doesn't have confidence throwing the ball which is why he's timid as you say. He's been like that most of the season. He's going to have to go into the offseason and change his throwing motion like Brady did. It looks to me like he's pushing balls out when they need velocity which shows something is wrong. I don't know if it's age or an injury. I think it's just age. Snead was a pretty decent WR and all of sudden he just disappeared this year? What the hell happened to him?

He brought us back in that Washington game

Brees and CSP deserve criticism tonight yes but let's pump the brakes. A shite play in a shite game game is not measure to burn down the house and bring Kirk fricking cousins in.

Snead has just had a bad year but I hope whatever issues he had he settled them.

We def need a TE and a deep threat

Josh hill should not be a target in crunch time
