How bad is Dalton?

He can’t be worse than the Winston shite show we’re experiencing. Prob should have at least given him a shot at the start of the 4th. Dunno where to go from here. It’s going to be a long season baws.

Eh he’s the backup for a reason. He’s a serviceable backup but he’s not going to make any difference. We have a lot of problems and going from one mediocre QB to another isn’t going to make a difference. The nice thing Winston has is the deep ball which it feels like the saints want to use.
But there is no QB who is going to come in and save our season

I agree. Dalton isn’t exactly Joe Montana. I just dunno where else to turn

I mean if they wanted to play him the time would have been when Winston was injured. If the staff didn’t feel a healthy Dalton is better than Winston with fractured vertebrae’s then it’s not a great sign for Dalton.
They did say he took more first team reps this week so I also wouldn’t be surprised if they give him a shot.

They had opportunity after opportunity over the years to draft Drew's replacement, and failed miserably. In today's NFL 4TH, 5TH, and 6TH round projects aren't going to cut it.
It's a damning indictment of Loomis, Ireland, and CSP

I mean, to be fair, they had his replacement lined up in Mahomes. But somehow it leaked out and the chiefs traded right in front of us to snipe him.
I remember prior to that draft how the rumor was that the saints were going Mahomes. At the time I thought “not a big 12 QB”. Back then the big 12 QB’s didn’t transition well into the nfl. But Mahomes is just so special. Sucks we missed that because if we get him Payton would still be coaching here.

He can throw a TD in 3 quarters unlike Jameis

The front office sat on their hands not moving up to secure Mahomes, and KC did. No one to blame but themselves.

The team in front of them at that point wasn’t drafting a QB. No team is going to trade up one spot with a team who wasn’t a threat to draft a QB. You just don’t do that. It was an unfortunate break but that’s how it goes sometimes

well racists like tigersquad89 want to say hes a BU so he cant be any good
then the jackass wants to ignore that winston is a BU QB who only got the job because he was the backup
dalton has had zero chance to show what he can do here and will do fine if they let him.
thats the key though, allen has to admit he wrong to play an injured winston, and allen wont be willing to admit that and make a change until we are around 1-6 or even 1-7

Really, professor. Enlighten me.

Brady was drafted 22-23 years ago. Not in the last 10 years.

I would swear I see him on my television as we speak. Is today not today’s NFL???? Perhaps you didn’t understand what you wrote?

He’s a backup that has accomplished things Brees has not. Got the Bengals of all teams to the playoffs 5 str8 years. Something Brees never could do.
Winston in what 8 years has led how many teams to the playoffs?

Well no shite, Brees never played for the Bengals. But are you really trying to make the argument that Dalton is better than Brees? Our fans have to be the dumbest fanbase on the planet because of people like you.
Andy Dalton's stats in 2021
8 Games played
149/236 for 1515 yards
