How about a contrarian what-if scenario?

What if Teddy goes nuts in the next six weeks, and the Saints reel off six straight wins? Teddy throws for 300/2/0 on average per game. Then, we hit the bye week and Brees is good to go. Do we sit Brees the rest of the season?

Just sayin.

You say thank you TB for 6 weeks of doing your job. That's why we traded a 3rd round pick for you. Now continue to learn from one of the greatest qb's in the history of the league.

Didn't this sort of happen with the Broncos for Peyton's last year? Peyton eventually came back in. Brees will as well.

Then he will get a ring when Drew leads us to a Super Bowl victory

This hypothetical works better with Hill.

His unique skill set could shock the next two opponents before the schedule gets a little easier.

Brees is better than Bridgewater in every aspect.

Brees is not better than Hill in every aspect. Payton could unleash an RPO offense not seen by the Saints.

Of course, it was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, but subtle humor gets lost on these boards like a fart in the wind.

But, I was trying to make a point. And that is, first, this is still a very talented team with very little weaknesses, and second, if Teddy can be a bit more than a game manager, and get the ball to the playmakers (Thomas, Kamara, Ginn, Cook), this team is perfectly capable of going on a run now that the shock of Brees being out is past us.

My guess is that this team becomes a little more run heavy, and relies a little more on Murray, to help Teddy navigate this.

You have lost your GD mind if you think Brees isn’t playing when healthy

What kind of stupid fricking question is this? I hope you haven’t procreated.

Teddy is not going nuts.

Also, no, you would play Brees.. maybe give him an extra week, but you would play him.

Dude I'm on the TB bandwagon, I think he'll do good after a gameplan suited to him but this OP is ridiculous.

No but we feel much better about signing TB long term to replace Brees.

If TB keeps winning, then we wait to play Brees until we are absolutely insanely sure he is 100 percent. So might be a couple of more weeks.

Then we put in Brees.
