the list of bad draft picks are endless:

Danny Wuerffel
Trading the entire draft for Rickey Williams
Trading up to get Sullivan
Stallworth
Meacham

Any safety or DB draft or free agent pickup by the Saints in the last 3 years.

Meachem!!! He won't be on the team next year. Arrington is going to take his roster spot.

At least with Bullocks we only wasted a second rd. pick.

Dude, have you lost your mind?

Ironhead was awesome. He electrified the Dome when he was there. The whole crowd would scream "Go Head, Go Head".

Not only was he popular, he was money on short yardage.

Either you're a Saints fan in name only, or you have a very short memory.

So far... Meachem just cuz he was a 1st. BUT he hasn't been terible when he has been in. He just hasn't played much. There were the injuries but the under current I have gathered is that he isn't too bright. Has had trouble with the playbook- thus probably a lot of wrong or bad routes. In college you can overpower many with pure athleticism, NFL unt uh.
Now Bullocks is proven and just plain bad. Plenty of 2nd rounders wash out so not near as crucial. Haslett always was in love with the flashy athletic types. Okay, but many times they weren't real good football players, ala Bullocks.
If ya wanna talk Saints draft history I'll get into with anyone. It started bad before they played a game as an expansion team. They had the first & last pick of each round. They traded the #1 overall to the Colts for QB Cuozzo the backup to Unitas & a center. Colts took Bubba Smith who dominated and was key to their success. Cuozzo washed out in the first year. Then with their first real pick, #26, NO chose Les Kelley a frickin FB out of Alabama. He was so bad he never had a carry. He lasted 3 years as a special teamer. Pick #27 was a QB out of Houston that they were gonna convert to CB (out of nowhere). 2 yrs and he was out of the league.

ah, the memories

I man, I still remember the horrors of the Alex Molden pick. Scary times indeed. Even though the franchise still sucks, we've still come a long way from those days lol.

Bullocks was a second rounder and actually wasn't completely awful for a small period of time. Don't forget that Meachem scored a couple TDs this year, but he's still basically a rookie. I give Meachem one more year, but for right now the worst pick is Meachem.

Not sure why you're comparing Bullocks and Meachem, though.

Jonathan Sullivan.....worst recent pick. Traded up to get him when everyone thought the move was to get Trufant. We still have not solved the cornerback spot and Sullivan is out of the league.

The "all time" worse. At least with Ricky Williams we got 2 #1s in the trade with Miami

Couldnt we have gotten Eddie George instead of Molden.

I still think Sullivan was pretty bad in the Jim Haslett days!

Anyone who says Bush is an idiot? Forget about football, he brought an energy to this organization we haven't seen in years...if ever. I know we got Brees the same year but Bush was definitely the more exciting acquisition. I believe he was the top selling jersey that year. In a way you could say that Bush was one of the best draft picks we ever made. Was there anyone else in the 2006 draft class who could have done that? I don't think so.

As for football, didn't he set a few reception records?
