What's the best place to eat? Casual dress and walking distance from canal street

I know this is isn't really saints' related, so delete if I'm out of line

I really like what Brennan's has done with Tableau's in Jackson Square.

I like to park in the Harrah's garage and eat somewhere on Fulton Street.

It's not a bad walk to the stadium from there. I stop for drinks at the Hyatt on my way.

Parking is free at Harrah's as long as you gamble for 30 minutes.

The responses of Brennans (dressy and expensive) and Krystal or why you post something like this on the food board so you can get informative answers.

I wouldn't consider it dressy or expensive

Your probably correct. It seems rather expensive for the quality and I don't hear of many good reports.
Just seems if one wants to walk that far there are better options.

Sorry, the Krystal comment was dumb and I shouldn't have lumped your response in with that crap.

Who said it couldn't be expensive? Are you stereotyping me bc I'm from Mississippi? Haha... I'm playing

Thanks for the suggestions... Krystal sounds great

Felipe's Taqueria has good food and really good drinks. Easy place to get in and out of fast while enjoying what you had and what you paid for it.

Felix's for Charbroiled or Raw oysters...service usually sucks but beer on tap usually has a decent selection for the quarter.

Yo'Mama's or Port o Call for Burgers.

I haven't gone to Margaritaville in a long time...but back in 2010 I used to like their menu a lot as well.

Nice.

Let me ask you...when you do listen to Saints Radio, which station comes in the clearest...WWL, WMOX or WYSE 93.3 out of Tupelo?

Sorry! Port o Call Burger is over rated. Tried it a couple of times now and don't get the hype. Hit the bars and ask the bar tenders and staff where they recommend, most of the time they enjoy showing off their knowledge of best drinks and bites to eat around the area. My wife and I do this all the time and we've had some amazing nights out on the town.

I haven't listened at all this year to be honest. I used to catch saints' games on 102.1 (meridian, ms).

I like cafe Adelaide on Poydras. Some food is straight off the Commander's menu, but at a lower price, and more casual.

Palace Cafe on canal is good too.

If you want to keep the Saint's vibe, Deuce McAllister's place is near by as well.
