Halftime however blew up b/c of the Dome/Saints success. I'm pretty sure nobody else plays it except the local joints like the arena.

WRONG, unfortunately. That song is played fricking everywhere now. They even played it at Falcons games. It is technically an ATL song because the artists are from there.

shite they went crazy with the "Who Let the Dogs Out" song during the 2000 game vs. the 49ers. It was mainly the first half though, I think we were leading 28-0 by the end of the half. Also I gotta give a shout out to Keith Mitchell, he wasn't as heralded but he was solid, especially in the 2000 season.

so much fail. yes NOW it is everywhere. why? cause of the dome. dallas did not start playing it until us, same as most of the nba. i understand they are from ATL, however they made a saints version because of the success of the song in the dome. the song blew up because of us. what is there to dispute the saints leading to it being played everywhere NOW?

I might be wrong, but I'm almost positive that the Ying Yang Twins were wearing Saints jerseys in the music video for the song. I realize they are from Atlanta, but for some reason I remember them saying that they are more of Saints fans. I could be terribly wrong though.

If you're talking about the version by Trans-Siberian Orchestra, I think they play that every year around Christmas, along with some of the networks that carry the games.

And fwiw, i effing love it

I'm pretty sure the "Halftime" song came out about 1-2 years before the Saints started playing it every game in the dome. It didn't start getting play in other sports venues until the Dome made it the shite. "Who let the dogs out" and "whoot there it is" are one hit wonders that blew up quick and was getting played all over the place until thankful it finally got played out and became instantly wack.

Who Let the Dogs Out wasn't recorded until 2000 so there is no way it was being played in the dome in the 98 & 99 seasons. I strictly remember it during the 2000 season and then it was gone.

They def played who let the dogs out recently in the dome. It was either 2009 or 2008 bc me and my ex used to sing it jokingly and when it came on in the dome we looked at each other and started busting out laughing.

I love La'roi Glover, but dont diss Mark Fields. He was the shite, and the fastest linebacker I've seen in a saints uniform.

Is there anything about the saints organization that you do like?

You wouldn't think so with all of the bitching and complaining he does about the Saints.
