Saw he had one catch today. Realistically, is he in the plans to make the roster?

It’s hard to say
A lot will depend on if we keep a fullback this year and the chatter is that this may be the first year in a while we do not.
If we don’t keep a FB, Foster Moreau is likely that H-back role and that opens a spot for Jimmy to just catch passes. But, if Lucas Krull makes a jump, you have him and Moreau that can block and catch so having Jimmy doesn’t make a ton of sense.

dunno... depends on if we carry 4 TE's, which I don't think we do... Johnson and Hill are guaranteed, and I'd almost put Moreau in that category too... so he's battling for #4 TE, if we keep that many

Hill is a TE in name only. He’s really more akin to a specialist role

I could see taysom in that role in close to the goal line. Taysom or Moreau and kamara in the back field with jajuan, Olave and Thomas(or Graham) as receivers

Carr loves to find TE's. Cook, Waller, Moreau have all had very nice years connecting with Carr.
JJ, Moreau, Jimmy and Taysom would be a nicely stocked group for Carr.
