Some of you people are dumb as frick. It's NOT 2 1st rd picks they swapped picks with GB 15 & 27 next years 1st rd pick (probably at the very end of the 1st rd) and this year's 5th rd pick. In others words, we got who we wanted for practically nothing.

If my choice was to have the 27th pick this year, and two first round picks next year over Davenport and no first round picks next year, I would take the picks

That’s how people should look at it when saying who won the trade as of now

I am completely ok with people feeling differently

I still think next year, we have as good a shot, if not better than this year. So I'd be happy with that.

Now if he doesnt pan out until 3 years from now, then it's a bust just as if he didnt work out at all imo. It'll be too late

Dude, you just called people dumb as frick, then said giving up a 1st round and 5th round pick is basically nothing

You make it sound as if a DE isn’t one of the most important positions in football

Other than QB, Dline always get taken early for a reason

Gave up way too much. For all we know this could be a top 10 pick. You never know with this squad

You realize the team we traded with has two first round picks next year right?

They have their own, and now ours.....

You would rather pick 3 players who the front office maybe doesn't think has a great chance to contribute than 1 player who the front office apparently think has star potential? That's just stupid.

Again, how are WE getting 2 1sts next year.

Are we comparing gbs situation which we could never have had, to ours? What the fk is the point of that?

I don't give 2 shits if GB has 10 1st rd pick next year. Not my concern, for moving up 13 spots and only giving up next years 1st and a 5th rd pick to me is nothing.

What?

Team a has 2018 14th pick

Team b has 2018 27th pick, and two first round picks in 2019 and an additional 5th round pick

I like team bs scenario better

That is my only point. I think they “won the trade”, but as always, if Davenport is awesome nobody will care

Because I was speaking to the notion of “who won the trade”

While you discount one first rounder, it didn't have to be spent on this de.

He cost 2 1s and a 5th rounder.

As you say, moving up from 27 cost one 1st rounder in 19 and the 5th rounder now.

So trading 2 picks for 4-6 sacks is a win?

If it's a "win now" move like some are saying then we need more than 4 sacks

Yes

4-6 sacks for a rookie who won’t be an every down players yet, that’s a win
