Darren was at URI as a player when I was there, a very good tight end.  Years later he came back to URI to become the head coach for a year. He made them a better team despite to horrible roster he had. He moved onto the Dolphins the year later to become the special teams coach. Had he stayed at URI, he would have made them a contender. He was an intense coach who brought out the best in every player.

Now that he is the head coach, expect that intensity to come out and make this team better. I've been waiting for him to get his chance and now he has it. Expect good things from him. He'll work those players hard, but he'll also get them best out of them.
