Even if that price stays constant at $7M (probably between $7.5 - 8M), getting a young proven player at $13M - $15M is the better move when you consider the price you'd have to pay for edge rushers, WRs, CB, or OT
That's correct, I don't think he fully fleshed out that thought. I believe the rookie wage scale this year for pick 8 is around $8 million.
You have to factor positional value when you're in the top 8 since the WR's and DE's are getting over $30 million per year

Slow morning. Day 2 is usually still pretty active and Day 3 or so is when usually things start to slow down

Yeah he likely wants $40 mil and teams are likely offering $30 mil, and eventually someone will give him around $35 mil per on a 2 year.

He should’ve been gone yesterday early, kind of crazy he thinks he is due so much with his age and injury last year.
Also this, thought it was tomorrow but apparently happens today.

But this literally do not change the current cap projection for us (we won't lose cap) unless we resign Jordan last minute, making the projection go up in space.

Ahh okay. So we still can sign Jordan until 3 tomorrow.
I thought so because we did that with Juwan

Patrick queen for a 5th?
No less than a 2nd would be my guess.

Sounds like Pittsburgh is hunting down a mid-round pick. I personally think the best they can get is a fifth-rounder which would work in Dallas’ favor (can’t really give up a 4 or better).
This was in that tweet from the cowboys reporter, claiming the Ravens want a mid rounder. I’d do it for a fifth

Those dead money figure are already baked into our cap number of being $20mm under when we started yesterday. No change there.
What does change is that if we intended on re-signing any of those three, we would not be able to extend and spread those dead money hits if we wait until after the deadline where those figures are finalized. We can still sign them, but it would be like a brand new free agent and we wouldn't get the cap benefit. If we intend to bring Cam back, it helps us out to sign him today basically.
I thought it was tomorrow at 3 pm but this spotrac guy says today for some reason.

Basically burning over 90 million dollars of our cap on players that won’t be suiting up for us this year. Only reason Jets are that high is b/c they had a fire sale at the trade deadline with their gold tier players.
Loomising…

He hasn't played for the Ravens the last 2 years, and the Cowboy reporter is not going to know what they want for Queen anyway. Man they put out some crazy stuff.
