Agreed, very weak class overall. Sterling would have been HOF worthy but his career was cut short, if you're gonna open that door there's hundreds of guys that you owe it to now.

100s did not do what Sharpe did

He led the league in multiple categories numerous times and won the triple crown in 1992. All while Jerry Rice was in his prime

Allen had the most sacks in the league over like a decade stretch

Gates was a stud for a decade plus

Eric Allen isn’t a HOF

This isn’t a weak class outside of Allen. These guys were the best at their position for a long time

Sharpe was three times All Pro
Five time Pro Bowler (while Jerry Rice was playing)
According to Pro Football Reference, his 17 game averages were 90 catches, 1,235 yards, and 10 TDs, although he played 16 game seasons

WTF

That guy sucked. He thrived on really bad AFC East quarterbacks for a while, and then the second he tried to play elsewhere he was a total non-factor. He was the second-best DB on the field for a Saints team that went something like 3-13.

Allen played in the NFC East and during his career the Eagles went against Gibbs' Redskins and Jimmy Johnson's Cowboys.

Well he was old but he made a probowl his first year here.
He's a borderline hof guy imo but to say he sucked is dumb.

You must not know much about Eric Allen, He was up for AP defensive player of the year in 1993, played in a division against 4 different Super Bowl Winning teams in the NFC East Giants 90, Redskins 91, and Cowboys 92, 93. Has 54 career interceptions, had 6 seasons with at least 5 ints (8 career high) named 1st team NFL All-Pro and was named to the NFL All-Rookie team. That’s a HoF resume.
