Stop with the standing and looking around and THE GODDAM POINTING FINGERS, just snap the dam ball when the defender jumps. We somehow don’t even know the rules

Yes you do. Just snap it and it’s offsides

If the don’t make contact with you or the lineman in front of the guy who jumps needs to touch him

Actually you don’t know the rules. You don’t have to snap the ball to get the neutral zone infraction.

The guy lined up over the guy that jumped needs to move.

Not the guy 4 holes down.

Bad coaching.

No you don't bur you can't move to make it look like they provoked you unless the defender enters the neutral zone.

It was a close play

He wasn’t in the neutral zone I thought? Seemed like he was close but didn’t cross it

Apparently you don’t either. If a defender enters the neutral zone and causes an offensive player to commit a false start while the defensive player is still in the neutral zone, it is a defensive penalty. If the offensive player doesn’t move until after the defender gets back onside, then the penalty is on the offense.

Brother I know but can’t you remember like 3-4 years ago and beyond we had an all pro center and he caught everyone who jumped by snapping the ball immediately. Seemed so easy and free play also

In that aspect, you are correct. That is a penalty. But from a risk perspective, it’s far more risky to tell the offensive line to hold fast, then have the center have the responsibility of catching the D line offsides. If you snap it to a QB who don’t ready and the center is wrong, all kinds of bad things can happen.

Nah man. That should have been a neutral zone infraction. The only thing I can think of is the lineman wasn’t across from or adjacent from the offender.
