Ray Brandt died... his (adopted I think) grandkids and his widow were squabbling over the succession of the dealerships... it eventually ended up in court where some kind of settlement was reached last March... I guess selling the auto empire was part of that settlement

I'm talking about things that haven't been out in the public.
The word on the streets awhile ago was that one or more of the manufacturers were talking about pulling a franchise if they didn't sell them.
Supposedly, there had been some shady shite going on after Ray died.
