I don't understand? What was "sloppy" about the first half? We marched the field 3 times. All three runningbacks made plays, we caught some nice passes, and both tight ends came up huge.. The defense was out of positions the first series.. but we corrected that the rest of the way.. We had one play where Brees got lit up by a delayed blitz and allowed them a quick td.. and one really awesome int.

Please explain what was sloppy tho?

It's funny it's a disappointment when our D only allows 7 points an entire half and our offense scores 3 tds..

We're only on pace for 42.

I want to hit the 45 mark.

QB protection for one. Stopping Turner, he's averaging 9 a pop.

Turnovers and occassional terrible blocking by the OL.

Aside from this, nothing...

Mitchell didn't look too good on defense. I didn't realize he got so much playing time..

Yessir, this is what I wanted. Them to be behind and put the pressure on Ryan.

QB protection for me is the only thing that needs adjustments at half.

eta: oh that and penalties

wow, that's the ugliest kick I've seen since Neil Rackers tried a free kick last year

I remember that kick now. What a waste of 15 minutes to get the shite set up.

yeah.. nobody in the stadium other than Whisenhunt knew what was going on

and that included the refs and Rackers

yeah our replacement outside backers looked like a hot mess.

Also, is Loston out for the game for the Falcons? He is a playmaker.

There's no cause for complaint. There were some bumps in the road, but, when you're up 28-14 at Halftime, no fan can complain.

The Saints took the Falcons BEST shots and STILL doubled up their score!

I guess I have the opposite perspective. I didn't so much see sloppy play by the Saints as I saw a little sharper play by the Falcons than I expected.

I think my 3 year old daughter may be a Saints token child. She woke up from bed (bilateral ear infections) and said she forgot to brush her teeth. She then followed the entire 2nd quarter cheering all the way. She actually copied the commentator with a "Go Greer!" What a trooper.

HOLY COW check this out

D. Brees: 15/17completions, 201yards, 11.8per, 1TD, 1int

200 yards AT THE HALF

the only blemish on Drew is that under thrown ball for the pick, and I guess the fumble where he held on to the ball for too long.

I said before the season I was not 'sold' on Pierre, but now I can say 'color me sold' on the combo of PT and Bell. Damn nice!

We've rushed for over 100 yards and passed for almost 200 yards in 1 half. I'd say the offense is doing just fine. Just gotta give Brees some more time.
