You're saying without Meachem, we don't win a Super Bowl? Because clearly, the Redskins game was key to that?

Only one game up on minny for homefield advantage, don't think saints win that game in minny. meachem strip could have very well been the difference in that season's ending.

who knows when speculating concerning Graham. I think Olsen would have been a 75-100 catch TE in Payton's offense. They still might have taken Graham fours years later but the need factor would likely have been negligible vs. only having Thomas & Humphrey going into 2010.

Ellis will be a certified bust if he doesn't get back to 2010 progress this year (or if they cut him). At that time though he looked like a perfect fit for need and value.

I edited because I didn't want to sound like a smart arse.

Anyway, we could also speculate that if we lose that game we wake the frick up and don't lose 3 in a row.

Meachem is no total bust, just didn't live up to 1st Rd expectations.
Definitely not even close to a 1st round talent apparently. Made a clutch play and that will live in lore so hey, not all bad I agree.

i already looked up his stats before i posted. Colston drops the ball less, scores more, and fumbles less while being a much more physical receiver.

He has more touchdowns in 26 less games

White's stats are much better than Colston, sorry.

uh, no. Colston is also more consistent and has yet to have a bad season. + he doesn't drop the ball

Our 7th round draft pick has outperformed their 1st round draft pick

If it wasn't for meachem's suckage, lance moore would not have had the opportunity to develop and then make that clutch 2 point conversion which turned the tide in the super bowl.

Roddy White led the entire NFL in drops this season by a mile. Besides on field production he is a contender for my least liked NFL players. I can't stand his mouth- would hate him as a locker room guy. Reminds me of Brandon Jacobs.

What do you mean "un no"? White's stats are better, its fact not opinion.

White does have a problem with drops I agree, but Colston had the dropsies for a bit himself. Im not bashing Colston, I love the dude. But when someone said Colston's stats are better thats false.

Nevermind Breesus. Colston has never dropped a pass and no Saint player has ever made a bad play.

he has more touchdowns, less fumbles, and the same exact avg. as roddy white despite playing less years and 26 less games than white.

He had a much better season this year than roddy and has had a better career.

football analysis by stats only is pretty lame

If you watch them play game to game side by side I choose Colston. If you choose White then you lose some armchair GM credibility to me. That move prolly works in fantasy leagues though!

Pretty disingenuous to hold Colston's 2008 against him when a hard hit broke his thumb, kept him out of action for a month or so, and when he returned he had to play with a cast on his hand.

Compare their season averages side by side:

Colston
75 REC 1040 YDS 8 TD 13.9 YPC
1 fumble every 90 touches

White
76 REC 1053 YDS 6 TD 13.9 YPC
1 fumble every 67 touches

Now factor in that one is a 1st round pick with good hands and one is a 7th round pick with great hands.

Now try to argue that White has much better stats.
