In addition, other posters in this thread, who I trust via their reputations, have confirmed they've seen the same thing.

All I know is that twenty years from now, when someone claims that they were at the Super Bowl when the Saints won in 2010, I'll be able to say it and it will be a true statement.
saying "i was on bourbon street the night the saints won the super bowl" ain't exactly going to be a bad claim either ..

I am supposedly a backup to get a shot at a pair of face value tix, and if it does come through, I am sure it would be because a number of others with closer connections to the source would have passed due to the short turnaround to get to the game, the still-high price of face value tix and so forth. This thread actually gives me a modicum of hope that the call may still come.
I am more than fine with just catching the game here on TV but if I can get the tix at face value, I would prefer to be in Miami to see the Saints make history (I can travel pretty light as even as I have aged, long drives and a night or two spent in the truck still don't bother me).

I used priceline and got an amazing deal on a hotel in West Palm. I don't mind staying out there because I am not going to blow my money to get wasted in Miami.

right now .. at face value .. this is prolly at least a $3,000 to $4,000 dollar weekend trip for someone ... that ain't cheap .. like i said earlier in the thread .. dallas next season would/will be MUCH MUCH easier because you can drive to dallas ... miami is almost 18 hours from here ..

Saints TO called my company yesterday asking if we wanted more. Someone wound up getting three for $800 per (face value) in lower section 430 (upper deck end zone).

Again, (504) 731-1700, then press 2 to speak to a rep. This is 100% false. Misinformation galore.
I can prove what I am saying - calling direct outweighs you saying a buddy got an email.

I don't know what you mean by that, but if you are implying I am a broker of some sorts, you are once again 100% false.

there are as low as 1300 bucks a ticket. they are dropping. I wish i decided to do down for the game and hopefully got lucky to score some tickets outside the stadium.

the guy that called me last night said that was basically what happened with them ... their firm had 12 season tickets, they hopped on their initial alotment and then got called for more ...

I just got offered two for $500 each from a Saints season ticket holder.

Man, the liars are coming out of the woodwork here today, apparently.

If you guys really got offered SB tix for $500 or $800 and turned them down than you are morons.
You could have called any national broker and sold them for $1100 to $1500 apiece.
So the joke is really on you. The market might be softer here do to logistical concerns but the market in S Fl is still good.

Some people see such offers as akin to business or personal favors and/or nice gestures and aren't thinking about an opportunity to possibly make two or three hundred dollars instead, while risking losing a friend or business relationship.
I guess you could also look at it as a joke, if you put no value in such things.

I have over 70 season tickets (including clubs) and only got called yesterday. I also know my rep. Some of these stories are bullshite.

Wow, you have 70 season tickets and just got called yesterday. You are getting screwed by the Saints ticket office. I was offered by a friend and since I am not a douchebag I am not going to resale them for a profit. If I don't go, he will offer them to someone else
Posted on 2/3/10 at 3:51 pm to AlejandroInHouston
A guy on here offered me some at $1200 a piece, cheapest I've found so far.
Might jump on them.
But if I could get one for 800 I'm in.
Got a free hotel room and my car ready to go.
