I am 100% against trading for anyone in a scenario where the Saints lose draft capital for the next 3 drafts.

This team needs young talent on rookie contracts.

Mayers might be a good TE but Warren will be there at 9 and given the choice you take Warren 10 time as out of 10 over Mayer. Even if you consider #9 reaching for him a bit.

such a naive viewpoint. i'm not even convinced that mayers is that great of a receiving threat but its sort of silly to say we don't need to do that cause we can fix the problem at 1.9. We have 9 big problems and TE is only one of them.

Don’t sign anyone over 30.

Don’t give anyone a large contract that requires anymore can kicking than we need.

Use all of our picks to start filling this old and marginally talented roster out again. We’re not 1, 5, or 8 players away from competing consistently.

You completely lose me at sign Adams. This team isn’t a contender and you want to sign an aging wideout to a fairly large contract? I’m also completely mindblown any wants to give up draft capital for Mayer who by all means appears to be a massive flop. This is a deep tight end class as well. Instead of wasting picks on a worthless tight end or Adams why not use that capital and or money to sign a Left Guard? Again, all of what you listed is just bad minus maybe holland.

This seems contradictory. If you are going to let Chase walk, then why chase a 30+ y/o WR most likely looking for that last big contract.

If anything, you could try to work out a 3 year deal with Chase (26 now) and you could probably keep his cap hit the similar to what it would cost to have his full void money ($9.1M) plus his replacement. And if they are going to replace him via FA, it would be much cheaper cap wise to just extend him before the deadline next week.

TE Tanner Hudson CIN - All around TE that they can’t afford to pay past the min (30)

G Dillon Radnuz TEN - former 2nd round bust who moved to guard and had his best year (26)

DT Teair Tart LAC - Run stopper ranked 17 of 219 DL last season (28)

CB Kristian Fulton TEN OR CB Asante Samuel Jr - Fulton is solid AND homegrown. Staley drafted ASJ (26)

S Marcus Williams BAL - huge BUST for the Ravens. Would be great to see him revitalize his career back home PATROLLING centerfield again and would allow Tyrann to play exclusively in the box (28)

*DRAFT*

Do not touch Jeanty in the top 10. Take a RB later in one of the deepest/talented classes.

Take Graham, Warren, Tet, Johnson or trade back #9

DRIVEMAN OUT

This is why it’s hard for me to look and do mock drafts. Milum is a fringe first rounder. Isn’t making it close to the end of the 2nd at worst. You get him at 93. This isn’t even remotely possible.

i hadn't even heard of him before i drafted him. but in real drafts, there's always guys that "fall" that were supposed to be 2nd round locks.

I would say 8 players away is tad overboard. I know most of you don’t wanna read this. I still say if have no so banged up all year we win the NFC South.

A mid to late round pick is not bad for Mayer.

I don’t know man. By competing I’m not talking about winning the worst division in football every few years. I’m talking about being a consistent double digit win team who wins a playoff game every year or two and then who knows.

I’m also not just talking about purely starters. We need young viable backups and utility players. We currently have very little depth on the lines, no depth at RB, none at WR, etc.

With this in mind I think we’re more than 8+ players away.

Love as player. May be special.

Too many other needs to take a non-essential position. Mayer has 2 years on a rookie deal and is more than serviceable
