I think maybe why he didn't rip Dennis is because he used to be a head coach and just respects it a different way than most people.
He told the truth about Carr and maybe he didn't want to be all in negative about the current situation.

The whole rationale of signing him was just dumb assuming he still was somewhat in his prime. He was literally just a slight upgrade over Jameis and/or Dalton yet we are paying him like triple we would’ve had to pay either of them .

This. Saints would be dumb to let one of the QBs go if they fall to them just bc Carr is still here bc we really are only stuck with him for 1 more year
