Depends on how much he is looking for. We obviously don't overpay for tackles, especially RTs (if that's what he primarily plays, have never really watched him). I am a huge critic of Streif, but Blues made a point before that I agree with, which was we are pretty set at RT. Between Streif, Brown, Marcel Jones, and Bryce Harris, who played pretty well after Streif and Brown went down, one of them should win the job and do well.

The release of David Thomas makes me think this is a feasible plan. I spoke to someone on the inside last year in regards to the lack of having another lineman in the blocking TE role like Strief did a lot in 09. He said at the time they were really high on Daniel Graham in that role since he was more likely to catch. They started to put a bigger body there once Vitt came back. It wouldn't be far-fetched to release Strief and use one of the other 3 in the blocking role if we can sign someone like Winston for cheap (once you factor out Strief's cap hit if released).

Right up your alley.

It would bring some more penetration in the backfield, which I'm a huge fan of.

I thought Brown looked much improved while he was in at RT before getting injured again. Seems like the first choice if you're booting Strief.

Last year's 7th rd pick Marcel Jones has plenty of tools/potential. His injury history was the knock on him. Oops, IRed in September. Another try with him.

Bryce Harris was brought in to start after Jones IR. He lasted less than a quarter before IRed. He was the next man up tho.

Will Robinson- for a guy that was working as a bouncer, he came in and looked not embarrassed. Could be another Saints gem outta nowhere.

I liked what I saw out of brown, Harris, and Robinson. Man we had some attrition at RT in that game. I am still of the opinion that we actually have some quality talent on this current roster after seeing a lot of the depth get some game time last year. I still like white, iaq, bush, and elbert "Craig" Mack on the defensive side of the ball. We need some young speed on the field in a bad way. I like our depth at RT.

If not younger and faster, younger and cheaper at least!
