It has done this more often than not for several years. Even when it was working this would happen somewhat frequently. It seemed to work best later in droves when defense was gassed and they’d get him in quickly.

I don't love the read option with him cause the other team knows it's a run and he always keeps it.
Why doesn't Payton run that play but let him pass it.

Or don't even run the read and let him pass it and if he doesn't see anything let him make something happen with his legs.
Give him the ball on a te around. He isn't good at the read option.
That sweep play also sucks

The read option with him was always kinda overrated.

Actually, if they get better at disguising Hill at QB it will work. And absolutely let him throw it sometimes. Like let him bomb the frick out of it to Tre’Quan or Harris.

Never understood the whole premise of having him run 90% of the time and throw 10%. He's got a cannon and has proven he can complete bombs. Let him sling it every now and again to keep the D honest.
