Disagree

Normally I wouldn't care either way, but something happened last year that changed all that. Drew is the man who came to Saints and changed this team forever. Drew led that team to something no one else ever came close to and did it with class. Last season made so many fans happier than they have ever been and still are. If you forgot the feeling, well your probably not a Saints fan, but if you have, go to You Tube and watch some of the Super Bowl memories. It still give me chills. Having said all that, I hope Drew gets the money he deserves. Money didn't buy that Super Bowl win, but he should be rewarded with it.

It is really simple if you watch fox news probbaly with owners, CNBC players. NPR you are waiting fo the full story

I wish Brees would just shut up and let someone else become the mouthpiece of the players. He is going to quickly become a polarizing player.

Doubtful. Fans will forget offseason shite if you preform on the field. I don't think comments during a labor situation is going to put him on the level of a Vick or Big Ben as far as polarizing figures go either.

Let's see how much the NFL owners lose when they have second rate players out there
not as much as the players. I guarantee that.

False.
prove it. If they wanted to play football, they'd play it. They just don't want to do it for the reduced price. Frankly, can't exactly blame them now can you?

They'd play for their current contracts

CBA. current agreement. Not their current contracts, unless there's proof in the aforementioned links that the owners are willing to let the players play out their current contracts under this collective bargaining agreement.
Again, for the money proposed thus far, we have no progress...in fact it's been regression. I'd love to hear an argument that presents something otherwise.

The owners stormed out of the room when the players presented an offer that would pay them a smaller percentage of the revenue than what they are currently getting. Why? Because the owners want more than that.

This isn't about the owners. Of course the owners aren't willing to let them play under the current rules that's why we have a lockout.

Have you read nothing or watched any coverage of this? It's about both. THAT'S why we have a lockout. Please be informed.

I don't think anybody's arguing this.
All I know is that the NFL will most likely survive if the "products" quit. The players most likely will not survive without the NFL, not in their minds. The ultimate bargaining chip lies with the owners, not the players. That's just my opinion.

we weren't talking about the labor situation in general we were specifically talking about what the players would or wouldn't do. Don't come back 3 days later and try and turn it around into something else

You aren't taking into account anti-trust litigation by the players. If successful the players will probably get 100+ million and most of what they want in the new agreement.
The owners are scared shitless of litigation.
If the players are unsuccessful it will be a huge victory for the owners, but if not, the players will win big time.

No, we weren't. And take your own advice. I can't help it if you can't reason.
