I would be looking to make a trade to fill this hole if I was Loomis. The free agent options are either old, injured or had poor play. Yes you can try to find a one year stop gap and hope to find a corner in the draft next year but why not look for that guy THIS year with the benefit of seeing them in NFL games. That may be a rookie contract player with upside that you can get for a top 100 pick or it might be a free agent that the team really likes and sees worth trading a 1st for them with the idea that they bring you 3-4 years of starting caliber play. This is all easier said than done of course.

My guess is he will come in on the minimum

At least he is a vet who has been through it.

Just wonder how much he has left in the tank. He was still playing well at the end of his time with the bengals but that was a couple years ago.

quote:

I agree.

Lattimore
Adebo
PRob
Dre Kirkpatrick
Crawley

We also have Grant Haley, Keith Washington, Bryce Thompson (udfa), & Lawrence Woods (udfa)

We've had better, but we've also had much much worse.

I see 2 scenarios in which this potential secondary will work:

a) Finish among the Top 3 in sacks
b) Finish among the Top 3 in points scored

Accomplishing both would be icing on the cake.

Lattimore can follow around their WR1

CJGJ can essentially be penned in as our CB2. He will be our nickel guy and match their slot threat. Backed up by PRob

Kirkpatrick was always best defending the deep ball. Throw him on the Y and pray I guess. Don’t really think he’s that good

Roll with that and hope one of these young guys emerge
