Teddy showed a glimpse into the future last Thursday. The obvious concern is that he may get a little greedy sometimes and get himself into a sack, but outside of that, he shows significant knowledge of the Saints Offense that can continue to improve into a mastery.

He won't ever be Drew. Let me repeat, he won't ever be Drew.

However, his ceiling could be a top 10 QB. With the talent, we have around him (young and old) we may not see 12-13 win seasons after Drew leaves, but I won't rule out 10-11 win seasons based on talent alone.

Our biggest issue moving forward will be LG and LT.

If McCoy continues to show greatness we are set on the right side of the line for another 4-5 years.

Offense next 3-4 years:

QB: Teddy 2 Gloves
RB: AK41
WR: MT13
WR: TQS / (FA)
WR: EB
TE: Cook -> Mack? (Will need to draft)
LT: Armstead -> FA / Draft
LG: Peat -> FA / Draft
C: McCoy
RG: Warford
RT: Ramczyk

I haven’t seen anything from Teddy that makes me believe he’s going to be a top 10 QB.

From the first game. Should be 2 TD since the first hit MT in the hands.

He can make every throw.
He can read a defense.
Arm is lively.
Accuracy is Above Average.

Negatives:

Tries to hold onto the ball too long to get the deep shot when he should check down or run.

Again was I watching a different QB than you last Friday?

He might need to catch a preseason pass before we crown him the future behind MT13.

I think he has the potential to be a top 10 qb playing for this team but nothing he's done in the REGULAR season proves that. He still needs to prove himself. He was very underwhelming at minnesota and he hasn't really played here so the verdict is still out.

Agree with the mental aspect of TB. Disagree with the physical. Below average arm IMO. He’s just not a dangerous QB.

So what? Drew never had the greatest arm either. That was actually a knock on him coming out of college. Wouldn't expect you to know that. Are you accurate? That's literally the only thing that matters in this offense. To be honest Hill has the strongest arm on the team. Mechanics for shite tho. Bridgewater is mechanically sound you can tell the kid just needs his chance.

I disagree that he holds it too long to go for the deepshot.

If anything, he checks down too much. I think he holds it too long because he rarely throws anyone open. Some of that is anticipating which he could theoretically improve on.

Weak arm and not a dangerous QB gets a “so what?”

Ok.

Give it a few years and we’ll see.

Stevie wonder , thanks for playing

What the hell are you seeing? He is at best serviceable in this offense. He's not a quick read and has a slow release.
Im not a fan i think we should have saved 14 million over the next 2 seasons on a need player. Realistically if Breese goes down the season is over.
We could have given nick foles a year on the bench and a starting job next season and security if any thing goes wrong with Brees. He didnt brake the bank to go to jville

Everyone is basing Teddy's performance on a pre-season game which we barely game planned for?

Anyone who doesn’t realize we will slump to mediocrity for decades once Brees is gone is an idiot.

The dude was, for the majority, playing against backups and it’s also the preseason. I just don’t think he has it. Do I think he’s a bad QB? No.

I think he’s a shittier version of Alex Smith. If he was starting for us, I wouldn’t even put him in the top 15 or maybe even top 20 QBs in the league. Again, I don’t think he’s fricking Nathan Petterman or Curtis Painter or Charlie Whitehurst But I do think we will suffer several 7-9 or 8-8 seasons before we cut our losses because that’s ultimately what he is.

He’s a below average QB that has mostly benefitted from having pretty good to exceptional rosters around him. Even with our roster as good as it is, he still wouldn’t be able to lead us to the playoffs. And I think it’s going to cost us 2-3 years of Lattimore, Kamara and MT13’s primes before our FO figures that out. I could honestly see a situation where Payton tries to make it work with Teddy B for three years, FO decides Teddy isn’t the guy and so Payton, instead of nurturing a rookie QB, just retires. After this year, if Brees retires, I think the Golden Era is over for Saints football.
