Just sit back and watch…. Load up heavy on the Nachos as this will be a looong one.

Personally, I think Shough should start every game going forward to see if he COULD become a great QB; based on the draft investment made in the 2nd rd that’s the direction we need to go.

Frankly, I think Rattler is Not the answer … and every snap he gets deprives Shough of snaps he desperately needs because the Clock is Running and not much time remains !!

What do I mean by the Clock Comment ?

I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again….

In LESS than 12 months the Saints will have a very very high draft pick in the 2026 Draft (Quite possibly #1 Overall).
**** This Statement is BASED on the field play we’ve ALL seen so far ; the Actual Performance Evidence on the Field !!

The Saints BRAINTRUST:
A decision will need to be made by Moore and Loomis (In April/May 2026) whether they CURRENTLY have the franchise QB on this very roster OR they need to draft a NEW QB from college. **This is KEY **

I would give Shough every snap in the next 18 games to determine if he CAN Be THAT QB !!

The clock is running … and After 18 games we should know.

Forget Rattler and definitely forget Haener.

Now… for the Clowns that don’t possess an IQ over 50… they cannot infer the following from what I’ve previously stated ….so I’ll just have to state it flat out:

YES …..if Shough becomes or shows signs, in the next 18 games, that he can be a franchise type player we all want ** Similar to what Denver’s QB did last year** than the Saints won’t be drafting in the Top 5 picks ….but much later in the draft.

YES …. that’s what We ALL want, Right ??

But right now …we haven’t seen enough of Shough to make the determination…
IF he is THE GUY in the LONGTERM.

Just give Shough all the Damn Snaps from this point forward… and …

DON’T LOOK BACK !!!!

Oh absolutely, this is just the appetizer. The main course of steaming fly food will come during the regular season. During the season I'm anticipating a steady consumption of alcohol. At the end of the season people will still be drinking to celebrate it's end. Let's just hope as the season goes on that we get light at the end of the tunnel.

The next 20 weeks or so we will be living that Sunday evening major depression asking ourselves, "Can't they EVER be any good?"

If you put both of their resumes, age, intangibles with career stats side by side without their names and where they were drafted, im confident the choice would be to see if Rattler could be our franchise QB of the future or not.

You're letting a horrendous draft day decision cloud your judgment. Ever heard of the sunk cost fallacy? Look it up, Shough is a sunk cost and he doesn't deserve every snap because of that. Should be get a shot? Absolutely. Should we throw all our eggs in that basket because we drafted him high? Hell no.

You don’t have much time….
Only one man can be given the opportunity.

I think it’s Shough and you think it’s Rattler.

Ok fine…we disagree on who specifically gets the opportunity …. ‘

But…the clock is running.

I get the sunk cost fallacy. But for me it also means that it’s useless to bitch and moan about it if things go further south…

I think we are staring at a Top College QB being drafted by Saints in 2026…

From the evidence on the field we’ve ALL seen so far (SO FAR) …. this is where
Moore and Loomis are headed.

Now …. give 1 QB on the roster the opportunity to start the next 18 games.. and maybe that one man can change the minds of both the GM and HC.

One Positive Note :
There are 2-3 Very Good QBs that will be available in 2026 per the Draft !!

Take our 1st rd pick in 2026 and take a Quality Starter QB so we can quit wasting draft picks on flier QBs (ie., 2nd rd, 3rd rd, 5th rd, etc).

We need those picks to build a new team !!

This is perfectly said. We will have a top 5 pick. We will need a franchise QB. Which means, we blew a 2nd rounder on a possible back-up. Rattler is also a back-up.

We should be in a position to draft our future.

Everyone with a brain knew it was a wasted pick. When a guy is in college that long and bounces around teams like Shough did, without ever having any noteworthy production, he's not a future franchise QB. This is common sense.

I also don't think Shough has any higher of a ceiling than Rattler. So I'd let the competition play out and award the best man the job, and get ready to get the real guy with #1 next year.

Bwahahaha

Let’s talk sunk cost fallacy. The Saints have never won a game afier naming Rattler their starting QB. it’s literally never happened after seven chances.

Rattler’s stats are mediocre at best.

Rattler throws more INT’s than TD’s.

I know…I know. “Look what he had for his supporting cast!!!”

I’ve never seen such staunch defense of such failure in all of my five decades on earth. Rattler has shown nothing to establish himself as any kind of plan for anything other than for losing. What’s the saying about doing the same things and hoping for different results?

The Saints are going to have to start 7-0 this year just to get to a .500 record with Rattler as their starter.

And I have no doubt that somehow, some of you will still defend him at the end of this season when the Saints are nowhere near a .500 record utilizing him as their answer.

It’s time to cut bait and see how long it takes for anyone at all outside of the UFL to pick him up.

Like I say above… selecting Shough was a desperation move by the Saints…
but now that (1) this move was made and (2) Rattler has shown he CAN’T do the job…….

I would start Shough the remainder of the 18 games.
If you don’t see what you need to see from Shough over those 18 games,…

Take your top 5 pick in 2026 Draft to select a Top QB !!
