Does Moore have a soft spot for backup QBs getting their shot?

Wonder if he is sticking with Rattler when it is so fricking obvious he is not the answer has to do with him being a career backup that never really had a shot to be the guy?

Or he’s sticking with his original game plan of giving Rattler 1/2 the season, and if he doesn’t establish himself then give Shough half the season. That way he’ll have a ton of game footage for both QBs to better evaluate going into the offseason

You guys are so fricking dense man.

They have to evaluate the whole team. Not just QB. Regardless of whether or not Rattler is “the guy” long term, he’s actually doing what he needs to do to let the team evaluate other guys on offense. The OL is getting blown up on half of the plays and Rattler actually stands in and delivers despite that pressure fairly often.

If Shough could do that he’d be playing. He can’t. It’s his biggest weakness.

No. He said from the start that Rattler was the guy and they weren't getting into a QB debate.

Slough will start 6 games this season. Moore knows he isn't winning anything this year. He trying to form a foundation with new players.

If he starts after the bye it's 7 games

I know coaches like to do this to give the new starter 2 weeks to get the game plan down and get reps. But I would love to see Shough get the start the week before the bye week so they have 2 weeks to go over actual game film.

That's pretty much how it's going to go behind the scenes.
