I seem to remember his post-Saints years with the Raiders were better than his Saints years.

I mean, I remember him as a Raider as well only because 1998 was the year I really started getting into football and not just the bigger names. I remember him on the Saints but I was 10 years old his last season with us.
his last game in the NFL was the Tuck Rule game.
But going by Approximate Value on PFR...
Allen had a total of:
80 AV as an Eagle (11.4 per year) 5 Pro Bowls, 1 1st team AP, 2 2nd team AP
27 AV as a Saint (7.33 per year) 1 Pro Bowl
22 AV as a Raider (6.75 per year)
He did have 3 Pick sixes as a Raider (all 3 in 2000), 5 as an Eagle (4 in 1993), but 0 as a Saint

Ah, the stats don’t lie. Once again my memory fails. I do remember being pretty damned excited when the Saints picked him up. But his tenure coincided with dark days for the Saints.

Eric Allen wouldn’t be caught dead in a Saints uniform …..
when he can be inducted as an Eagle known for those ferocious defenses he played on… with Reggie White, Clyde Simmons and Jerome Brown !!!!
