WTF? Don't make me actually do some research to demonstrate how silly this comment is.

I am not flaming when I say you are speaking out of rank ignorance when it comes to Brees and New Orleans. Really, you are. He wants to stay in New Orleans. He wants to maintain his relationship with Payton. And, yes, I KNOW those things to be true.

The only question is when the team and Brees come together on the numbers.

i hear from my reliable sources that his mom wants him to stay in NOLA and will be pissed if he leaves.

problem is, his black girlfriend is enrolling at bama and is a strong pull on him to go there too.

No way I'd stay in New Orleans, simply due to the urgent crime problems. I'd use my platform to promote inner city children and deter crime by telling the citizens that they are ruining the great city and that I won't be here to see it crumble if you continue killing yourselves.

I'm a gone Pecan if I'm Brees. There are too many nicer places to live that want his services.

This is one of these times I'll actually pull this one out . . . I've met and talked with Britney and Drew on a few occasions and I work some of his business people through a nonprofit I'm volunteer for. The guy genuinely loves New Orleans. Unless the Saints have a monumental brain fart when it comes to the contract, I believe Brees will retire as a Saint.

That is laughable in itself. As long as all of you other dumbfricks ignore the problems, they will never go away.

New Orleans is a shithole. I agree Drew will retire a Saint, because that is the classy guy that he is. He will haul arse from the city as soon as his playing days are over however. No one in their right mind with money would put themselves and their families through the pain and agony of living in NOLA if they don't have to.

We don't ignore them. We stay in a city we love and work on the problems.

It's a better city now than it was five years ago. And it will be better five years from now.

The Saints spend a TON of money under Benson. People repeatedly say shite like this when it just isn't true

Come on vor...you think drew and his wife would say anything else to residents of nola at a charity event? I am saying silent prayers that he loves nice climates and illegal immigrants. If he does...sf is a lock!

it is almost impossible for drew to leave. I just hope we work it out soon so we can use the franchise on colston or nicks

Why do you think that is the context of my meetings with Drew and Britney? His business manager and partners work directly with the nonprofit I'm involved with. Not those two for the most part.

Nope. I just have run into them casually and accidentally. Watched the Sugar Bowl one year from Drew's suite. Not saying we're buds or anything like that, but I have had a couple of conversations.
