Nah, it’s not on him. Dude simply answered an inappropriate question for a yahoo finance article. He caved because he is a good guy that loves his teammates and he wanted to ride with them 1 more season. Nothing more, nothing less. You guys are pathetic for holding that against him.

Look we can have whatever opinion we want and stand by it with little to zero consequences because we inherently have far less to lose than a top 10 QB in nfl history.
This was literally right after the George Floyd death. Context matters.
Brees had to backpeddle with his teammates accusing him of racism and his wife receiving death threats on social media. Did he overcorrect due to being pushed by black teammates like Demario Davis to not only be an “ally”, but be an active ally, sure.
It’s pathetic you can’t see that.

That’s not the point. Quit projecting. He had to apologize and do all of those things to keep left wing nuts from finding him and murdering him. And also to play his last year that he desperately wanted to play.
None of my posts suggested he did anything wrong. The world has been effed in 2020 on. Dude was simply in survival mode. It’s really easy to be high and mighty and stand your ground when nobody knows who you are.
The rhetoric against Brees in this fanbase has been absolutely embarassing for awhile now. It’s one of the reasons why I’ve disassociated from a large portion of the fanbase and now root for the Bengals. Y’all are insufferable with this Brees shite. Dude did everything right for basically 2 decades. Guy was worried about the safety of he and his family and being blackballed from the NFL, so he bent the knee a bit. I hold none of it against him. And nobody sane or with the ability to put themselves in someone else’s shoes should.
