Being that the Falcons are 5-0 it will be very hard to catch them and win the division. Do we now pull for Atlanta to beat other NFC teams to help with our wild card birth, when they are playing NFC teams?

I have been going to Saints games since 1985 and never thought I would find myself pulling for Atlanta, but does this seem like the best move?

Even if they are the #1 seed, they will only get blown out again in the first round at home.

I guess it just depends. They've squeaked out a few the last 2 weeks. Even if we beat them twice it will be really hard to catch them unless they start losing quickly. It's a very tall order as is but getting on a roll and getting the 6th spot is much more likely unless they would go into a tailspin somehow.

I just wish the Falcons would catch a break.

Like playing the Redskins without RGIII, and have the rain start right after they score the game-winner.

Or face Peyton Manning the week he has his worst game as a pro. He ALWAYS throws three INTs in the first quarter of football games.

Or have the Panthers safety lose his bearings on a sure pick and give up a 50 yard pass.

They have had some luck this season. Can't last forever.

I don't know...they rode the horseshoe to 13-3 in 2010. Maybe the most maddening season ever for rooting against a team. Made their playoff drubbing by GB so much better. They play with very good fundamentals and don't beat themselves. With a talented roster that will win you a lot of close games.

Not until it's mathematically impossible for the Saints to win the division.

If we sweep them, and they drop 2 more games than us of the other 9 games they play (aside from playing us) we would win the division on a tie breaker. I'm not going to give up on the division yet.

pull for all the leaders of the divisions to run away with it. pull for all the potential wild cards to lose.

This.

I will never cheer for the Falcons. It's akin to cheering for Bama.
