Don't get me wrong I like our draft picks but just not enough to satisfy..
We could have taken a quality approach maybe not a drastic as the Browns and I'd feel a lot better.
We have just sucked to be honest and missed on our coaches and GMs personnel evaluations for me to feel different

The Browns had that many picks because they had the number 2 pick to trade down from. And their roster is truly abysmal.
We aren't close to that bad.

We didn't draft the players that Kiper said were best available at the time we picked, so therefore we failed.

So how about giving us a pick by pick breakdown of what you would have done.

Is that a word? Or is that a Keep Austin Weird thing? Either way, it sucks and so do you. Go cheer for the Cowboys or Texans.

I'll say one thing
I love how they hammered oline immediately after the draft
The oline is a lot deeper than a couple of days ago

We have a limited number of pick, dude. We got really great players and values at all of them, mainly at positions of need. We weren't going to be able to get depth at all 15 or so different positional groups. Stop complaining; this was an excellent draft.

Actually, Detillier has a lot of these guys ranked and to me seems like one heck of an UDFA hawl!

And why are people acting like we traded away sooooo many picks?
We had 6 picks going into the draft. R1P12, R2P47, R3P78, R4P112, R5P152, and R7P237. And according to draft pick value chart, our picks had a total value of 1931.7.
After trades, we still had 5 picks in the draft. R1P12, R2P47, R2P61, R4P120, R7P237. According to the draft pick value chart, our picks had a total value of 1977.1.
OP thinks we "failed at getting depth". Yet we only had 1 less pick than we did going into the draft. I'm sure that 1 pick would have given us soooo much more depth
And after the trades, our draft picks had a higher total value than it did before the trades. Sure we lost a 5th RD pick for next years draft, but who cares? It's not like we gave up a top 3 round pick. It's a 5RD pick. Not a big deal IMO.

Also, we aren't in position to draft for depth. We need guys that can come in and get on the field and make an impact, especially with our early picks. We did that with our first 3 picks. All 3 will play a lot of football as rookies.
Hell, all 3 were considered to be at / near the top of their position. Rankins was considered the #1 DT by McShay and Kiper, and #2 by Mayock (had Bucker as a DT). And was considered a top 20 lock, potentially top 10. Michael Thomas was considered the #5 WR by all 3 and was considered a late 1st / early 2nd RD player. And Vonn Bell was considered to be the #2 safety by all 3 and a late 1st / early 2nd RD player. That's great value with your first 3 picks.
The DT in the 4th was a bit of a reach, but he's got great size and athletic ability and had a lotttt of upside. I'm OK with reaching for someone like that in the 4th. Plus, there was a lot of buzz about him leading up to the draft, so he could have drafted higher than most expected. Could become a very good player down the road.
And Lasco was a great 7th RD pick. Mayock said he's a 3rd / 4th RD talent that fell due to injuries this past season. He fits in great in our offense and will be able to contribute and get on the field Day 1, something you rarely say about 7th RD picks.
And we've already made some very nice UDFA signings.

Quality post sir. I wish all of these "newcomers" would read it so they could understand that we had a very good draft
