Damone Clark, worth a shot?

How would the board feel about signing Damone Clark with our last pick? Letting him rehab and be ready for the start of ‘23
Not the same situation at all but I remember when lael Collins fell off of everyone’s board for legal issues and the cowboys got a first round pick at a 7th round value

I would love it. I doubt that happens though.

Not even remotely the same and the picked him up as an UDFA. He was not drafted. He actually cost more than a 7th round pick if I recall correctly. And his contract was one year shorter. Still a steal for the Cowboys.

That’s why I said “it’s not the same situation” in my post.
All I’m saying is if we have a 7th round and he’s sitting there.. I’m taking a flier on him for the following year. He was creeping towards a first round pick before the injury. And he just posted a picture of him rehabbing

I think he’s worth a shot in the 5th. Huge upside

If he doesnt have an criminal/sexual assault record im not interested.

5th round or later sure but you can’t invest a top 150 pick in him with that injury.

Hard pass. He’s not that good

I agree with that, I think the saints would have done that with Collins except he said he would not sign with anyone who picked him after round 3 (I think, may have been round2) and just sit out a year until the next draft. I think almost every team in the NFL would have taken a flier on Collins somewhere between rounds 4 & 7 if he had not.

I'd rather him than Ian book or Tommy Stevens.

Someone will get a very good player for cheap. He’s got all the goods great body has shown he can be coached. I hope we take him if we can.

As someone who as been a LSU/Saints player troll, I would actually be happy with Clark. Dude is a baller.
