DA is going with lifers on his staff

Let me start off by saying I am not a DA fan and I thought he should have been fired last year, but you can see in his pursuit of Carr and his hiring of NFL lifers that he is already familiar with that he is not going to take next year for granted. I commend him for putting his own imprint on this club ... now it is perplexing that he did not fire Pete.

Trying to finish what he started in Oakland. Allen was the one who drafted Carr, but was fired his rookie season. How eerie would it be if that same scenario plays out if Carr comes to New Orleans.

This part is starting to make sense to me. There are like 8 teams that fired their OC this year and with no QB on the roster, no cap room, and injury prone stars we just aren't a good landing spot for any OC with a pulse.

Possible, especially with the news that MT13 may be willing to further renegotiate his contract in order to stay with the Saints and play with Carr.
Maybe Carr signing would heal his ankle....
