I can't believe people are shocked by Cowherds statements.

This is the same guy who in 05 said we shouldn't spend any money on rebuilding New Orleans and let both teams move.

fricking pussy. The wife and I go to NOLA all the time and fricking love it. New flash pussy, the killings are not happening in the ratios of the Superdome and the surrounding french quarter area. Oh, FYI, FBI's top 45 most dangerous places, NOLA 45!

The Superdome area is a scary place

This cockless dude is such a pussy. Really, FBI security with him FYI Cow-Turd, you have security with you because of all the piece of shite comments you made against the city of NOLA, because someone will walk up to you and bitch slap your arse.

That's not what this is about. 50 percent of New Orleans scares the Hell out of me.

This is about a little bitch slamming a city when it's down for slam dunk ratings points.

I think what's off on his statement are the actual facts. I don't believe NOLA is #1 but it's damn close.

Basically someone else summarized it best:
quote:

The main problem NOLA has right now is the crime. I shutter to think what happens when a high profile murder happens in the middle of the French Quarter. As soon as that happens, it'll be open season on NOLA because the murder rates have been insane for a while. Nobody cares if two drug dealers kill eachother, but just wait if somebody visiting for the NBA All-Star game or Super Bowl gets capped. It is a very real and scary situation for a city based on tourism.

Defend NOLA all you want but if/when this happens - it's going to get worse press than the OKC shooting or LA Dodgers beatings simply because NOLA has historically been high in murders/crime. Stereotypes become common "facts", especially when this city relies so heavily on tourism.

Know-it-all jackass. I mean, this guy is the expert on anything and everything, just ask him. Unlistenable, which is why I don't listen.

Not saying this will never happen. Because all it takes is one jackass with a gun to pull it out and start shooting. But, this city knows what the French Quarter area and Superdome/Sports Area means to NOLA.

I wanted to call and tell this piece of shite to answer me this. How many cars were burned, building destroyed after the Saints won the SB and after almost a half of a million people showed up for that parade after the SB win? Thanks, enough said!

This has happened in the past during Mardi Gras and other large events. You can't go to any large city and expect it to be danger/crime free.

Awhile back the guy was talking about New Orleans should be included in a 4 city/state rotation for future Super Bowls along with Dallas/Houston, and Miami, Phoenix. He was bragging about how nice New Orleans was for the BCS. Now all of a sudden New Orleans isn't good enough for him, now it's a BAD location travel wise, but back in January it was a good location-travel wise. That guy is a joke. Trying to get higher ratings.

Do you really think that matters?
That he is trolling us?
Do you think we give a frick?

I'm not terribly concerned about our feelings.
If his words hurt our tourism in any way, then I'm concerned.

Sorry if I think it's douchey to frick with a city's image just for ratings.

True. I wish I could find the clips of him bragging about how good New Orleans is for hosting big sporting events and play it to him over the phone. I bet he'd hang up quick or not air it.

I don't even live in Louisiana and I'm pissed because the guy is fake. I swear about 4 months ago New Orleans was this great place, now he's bored and want to dog the city. The reason why the guy had "FBI" agents is because he talks too much shite in regards to sports. I seriously doubt if a thug in New Orleans was going to try and hurt Colin unless he went into the hood looking for crack.

Yeah, he said this for months - repeatedly. Don't rebuild New Orleans, move the Saints to LA, the Hornets are gone, the place should not even be rebuilt, resettle everyone 100 miles upriver, etc., etc.

He was very clear in his hatred for New Orleans. Now that he can speak his mind again, it is coming back out. That is just who he is.

Some of you are too fricking sensitive. Not everyone loves New Orleans. Get over it.

Cowherd has always been a shite stirring douche. This is exactly the type of reaction he's looking for. He enjoys riling people up and all of you are falling for it.

Listened to the whole thing.

Starts off like it's going to be a rip, but he actually ends up complementing the city in a backhanded way, quite unintentionally . In my opinion, NOTHING HAS CHANGED, Colin .

I say that because he could have made this same rant August 24, 2005.

Plus we were reeling in all of the big events before then-Super Bowls, Final Fours, College Bowl Games, political conventions. New Orleans getting major events is not the anomaly, it's the NORM, Colin.
