Mike Tomlin has the Steelers sniffing the playoffs with a young roster. If he had the Saints we would’ve easily win this division. We need a real head coach. DA had to battle through the injury bug but in the words of Tomlin. It’s no excuse “The standard is the standard”.

C'mon every team has lots of injuries you just don't pay attention to them bc they aren't your team. Lamest excuse out there. Allen and Pete suck

Mike Tomlin has had zero, yes zero losing seasons in his career.

16 winning seasons
0 losing seasons

Sean Payton had four losing seasons with drew Brees as his QB.

So yes, having one of the greatest coaches in nfl history in Tomlin makes a difference.

That all being said, do they need to move on from Allen already. Defensive minded and offensive ineptitude may not work in NO.

Tons of injuries last season too and CSP got us to a better record with less consistent QB play and zero receivers... so yeah.

I was praying the Steelers would flop and Tomlin would get fired so the Saints could scoop him up.

Sadly not gonna happen this year.

This is really kind of misleading. Payton had several 7-9 seasons where he didn’t make the playoffs. Tomlin had a couple 8-8 seasons where he didn’t make the playoffs. Are they really that different?? It’s not winning or losing seasons that ultimately matter, it’s making the playoffs. Bottom line is they are both high quality coaches, and from my perspective, if Payton had been coaching the Saints this year they would have won the division. Certainly Allen had injury excuses, but it’s hard to be impressed with the job he did when the division was the worst it’s ever been.

If you know anything about the Steelers and the Rooneys, you know it will take more than one subpar season for them to even consider firing Tomlin. They’ve only had three head coaches in over 50+ years.

I agree the Saints should have put Jameis in at QB with 3 WR's and thrown at will last week vs. Philly.

even though Philly leads the league in sacks.
