I wouldn't characterize the Lions loss as an embarrassment. Start was bad, but we we had a good shot to win it.

Lions are a superior team. If you are going to go with an embarrassing loss, you have so many other ones to choose from this season.

I wouldn’t go as far as to call it a “good shot to win”, but you can’t act like they weren’t within distance to take the lead.
1st and 10 from the 44 w almost 4 minutes and 2 TOs. They were in a ballgame they had no business winning; especially how the first 7 minutes went. Definitely not an embarrassing loss

I wonder how much of the saints not acting has to do with competition for coaching out there. Any decent candidate is going to have his choice of positions. So then it comes down to how attractive the franchise is. I’d imagine current saints look like an unattractive prospect.
