I was just about to say... hate to burst LSU's bubble but "technically" bama is listed as a "better school academically". Although, having gone there - I can assure you - it's not Harvard or Yale.
Regardless - this argument is a bit childish. There's really smart AND really dumb kids that go to both.

Never said LSU was a great school, especially since the nonsense with the budget began.
My point was that people who feel like they're getting anything "more" out of going to Alabama over LSU probably just don't like LSU to begin with.
Unless you're going to Vandy or Florida, the difference in any SEC education is pretty negligible, I would guess.

Don't even get me started on the complete nonsense that is the US News and World Report rankings. Just take a look at the UF President's votes (that comprise over 1/4th of the tally) and tell me with a straight face that this is a reliable data set.

I would rather go to LSU in engineering than Bama. If I was doing engineering in the state of Alabama it would definitely be at Auburn.

Some of LSU's programs are the best in the nation. Same goes for Alabama. Bama is by no means academically superior to LSU.

I think LSU is a great school and a bargain. I just think our fans are annoying entitled schmuks - the type who boo a kid like JJ after what he wnt through - disgusting.
