CBS mock draft has QB Will Levis going overall #1; QBs going 1-2-3-4 overall

I like Levis but I'd be shocked if he goes #1 overall
His pick for the Saints is nuts IMO. Bergeron is rated as a 2nd or 3rd rounder pretty much everywhere. On second thought, the Saints will definitely pick him

Round 1 - Pick 1 Carolina Panthers: Will Levis QB, KENTUCKY • SR • 6'4" / 229 LBS
Carolina controls its own fate after moving up from No. 9 overall. The Panthers really like Will Levis, and he fits the mold of a Frank Reich quarterback. I am not saying with certainty that he will be the No. 1 overall selection, but I think it would be naïve to ignore the possibility. In 2018, everyone thought the Browns were leaning towards Sam Darnold or Josh Allen until they took Baker Mayfield.

Round 1 - Pick 29 New Orleans Saints: Matthew Bergeron OT. SYRACUSE • JR
New Orleans' interior offensive line is a concern. It may not make a change this year because of the contracts among that group, but the on-field justifies it. Matthew Bergeron could hold up at tackle, in my opinion, but some in the league project a move to guard.

Wouldn't hate us going DL or OL with the 1st.
- Its a deep DT draft that projects into the late 2nd/early 3rd to get sizable talent.
- With Peat all but gone, Penning still a ?, and Ruiz about to get paid; we need to think of grooming a young guy

I'm all for a OL in round 1 to replace Peat. Can't see it being Bergeron though. He doesn't even crack Daniel Jeremiah's top 50. Kiper has him listed at #70 overall

I don't think so. QBs went 1-2-3 in 1971, the year the Saints drafted Archie Manning. I don't think they've ever gone 1-4

DE then OG then DT. I think we can get Ike in the 3rd round. Then either WO or Safety. I hope we get a free agent DT and receiver that’s like a #3 also dreaming of Frank Clark.
All before the draft that would make it more impossible to figure what the Saints will do. We could use a linebacker to groom also.

proof that all mock drafts are just drunk idiots wish casting their notion of what teams will do.
that said, i would love to see them get 2 starting o-line players

As far as who the pick would be, I don't even pretend to scout prospects, etc.
I do think we've become wary of smaller-school, injury-prone projects.

If he is a reach then it fits the Loomis profile for wasting 1st round picks

Levis at 1? Seems like a huge bust potential

really hopping one of O'cyrus torrence or Bryan Breese is there at 29 think either one of those would be a winner for us. I doubt it happens though. And knowing the unpredictability of the Saints if both are there they will probably pick someone at one of our few loaded positions like a CB with a low 2nd round grade.

I think that guy is smoking crack but I would be ecstatic if the Panthers took Levis at number 1. He screams Mitch Trubisky 2.0 to me.

I wouldn’t. Everyone chasing the next Allen, Herbert, Lawrence clone.

Lawrence looks like he will be a top 5 guy in a few years now that he has a real coach, Wilson looks like a mega bust, Lance who the hell knows.
