Carr is good when healthy. But can no longer stay healthy.

I even liked Carr and still do.

But this ongoing narrative that he isnt the problem is NOW wrong.

Two straight years we’ve lost games because he’s hurt. Last year with GB etc. huge loss, this year his injuries basically killed the season.

Alot of midtier qb’s start breaking down at 35 and are washed.

This is now DC. Matt Ryan, etc.

Injuries happen.

The Saints lose games because they don't have any competent back up players at any position. They barely have competent players at most starting positions as well.

This team is not good and a new QB isn't going to make them any better, but I agree then need a new QB, and WR's and O-Line and D-Line, LBers and DB's.

Generally, when old quarterbacks cant make it through seasons healthy (or barely) its a sign of the beginning of the end.

See Troy Aikman, Tony Romo, Joe Montana, marino, Steve Young, Terry Bradshaw, historically this is common.

Recent examples matt Ryan, Tony Romo, Kirk Cousins now washed likely.

He has terrible pocket awareness and it doesn't help he has a pocket straight from Andy Dufresne's wardrobe.

Carr is a placeholder for another year or two. Nothing more, nothing less. He’s not going to get less injury prone or better as he enters his mid 30s.

Agreeed. So if we can somehow trade for JJ Mccarthy. Do it.

Or or Sanders/Ward test like top ten picks, arm talent, accuracy, athleticism, you do it.

Edit: JJ wasnt a first round grade necessarily but he killled his testing. 6’2 215 size concerns answered.

Didnt run a forty due to a hammmy (Les) but ran a cornerback level 6.82 3 cone, meaning his feet are fleet.

Dunno man. Carr wont stay healthy.

I’m just not a fan of him. If we bring in an offensive minded coach who likes him then go for it.

I’m in no way opposed to getting a young qb whenever at this point but I just hope we can maximize the amount of rookie window within the timeframe we clean our cap up a bit.

He doesnt play hurt compared to Drew Brees- Drew kept his injuries to himself. Carr wont play unless everyone is healthy around him- he puts Rattler out there to run for his life

Get the frick.

Completely wrong. Carr played hurt most of last season.

And he has played hurt this season, to the point that he was too hurt to play.

He is not likely to be healthy for 17 games.

This is very much like when it was time for Brees to go. He was great in 10-12 games and banged up from there.

Man we have idiots on this board. So Carr didn’t play any games this year with the entire interior offensive line hurt and both starting receivers out right?

Drew Brees finished a half with 12 broken ribs. He had 3 broken ribs when that game started from the week before that he didnt tell anyone about. Carr has been carried off the field 3 times in 2 yrs for nothing as significant.

Yeah youre an idiot.

Carr’s injuries the past two years were extremely significant, fricking dumbass, busted shoulder, concussed (career ending type injury), and countelss other injuries.

Aikman retired for concussions alone.

Shut up.

That is the job of Mickey Loomis; he has failed miserably and should resign with his tail tucked between his legs. Fire him and start over with a competant GM. Changing the coach and/or QB is like putting a bandaid on a bullet hole.

Tell me which games he played with the Oline Out. He waited till Kamara was over his ribs . Look at the games he played , and who was on the oline and receivers. Now, write down oline, receivers and back when Rattler or Haener played. I agree Carrs better when he has his line and receivers, but he sits out when they are gone
