Former New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael is expected to land a job on the offensive coaching staff of the Denver Broncos, multiple sources said Tuesday.

Carmichael's role has not been formally determined, but he is expected to fill a role as a senior offensive assistant in Denver, where he will reconnect with head coach Sean Payton, the man who hired him to join his inaugural Saints staff in 2006.

The move is expected to be officially announced at a later date.

Loomis will also send a future 1st just to be nice to his old buddy. Get a 6th round in return.

You clowns have no idea what you’re talking about. He was a key piece of the team here for years, yet you think you’re intelligent because you can make lazy, uninformed insults about the guy

Just stfu

Good luck to him. He served the Saints well. Loomis forced him to be OC then sacrificed him to appease the face painters. Now he gets to live in a half decent city and work for an org thats on the rise. Might as well cheer for the Broncos until we get a new gm.

Carmichael might not be the best OC in the world but he did ok with the talent he was given. He had to work with Andy Dalton, Jameis Winston lol, and Carrbage. Little to no weapons, meh O-line, zero tight ends.

What will it take for people to realize the problem here is Mickey Loomis?

Would Pete Carmichael’s Denver offense putting up 50 points on us in the Dome next year do it?

Sick of hearing the local media and fans blame Dennis Allen, Pete Carmichael, and Derek Carr for our shite team.

Are you related to him a-hole? STFU. It was a joke (notice the laughing face afterwards). Carmichael is not the hill to die on.

Won't be his offense. He is not going to be OC, but rather a consultant. The problem is from top down in this organization, including Loomis. There is no accountability because everyone is too comfortable because Gayle likes them as humans.

You sound like a dramatic woman..Would you rather I use the word "pressured"? If you've ever paid attention to Carrmichael's demeanor you get the vibe he's more comfortable behind the scenes. That and he's been happy as Sean's sidekick for over a decade. Loomis is too lazy and stupid to do his job so he just wants to promote from within.

Umm yes. He's been coaching football for 30 years and has been employed in the nfl for 24 years. Get over yourself. Carmichael may not be best as an alpha offensive leader so to speak but to diminish his importance on a staff is fricking ignorant low iq horse shite.
